Homeless Services
Gateways' location in Echo Park provides an ideal opportunity to address the needs of adults in this densely populated region. Gateways has been serving the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless since April 2001.
Mission Statement
To provide an integrated, comprehensive continuum of non-traditional services addressing the need of mentally ill and dual diagnosed adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
To assist SRO residents in maintaining permanent housing and integrate into the community.
Referrals come from a variety of sources including other homeless providers, county agencies, concerned citizens, relatives, law enforcement and self-referral.

Our program is located at the People Assisting the Homeless (P.A.T.H.) service mall.

- Assessment of needs

- Psychiatric evaluation and medication support
- Community outreach
- Linkage to vocational, housing, health and other community resources
- Basic needs: clothing, showers, food and mailboxes are available in the PATH mall
