Dr. Imani J. Walker, DO
Dr. Imani Walker serves as Chief Medical Officer at Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Centers. She is a physician specializing in General Adult Psychiatry with additional training in Forensic Psychiatry. A native of New York, she earned her undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University. She went on to obtain her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her clinical training at leading institutions including Temple University and UCLA.
After finishing a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry, Dr. Walker established a private practice in Southern California. She currently specializes in caring for acutely ill psychiatric patients, including those with eating disorders, and is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care to homeless and underserved populations.
