Brian Thorne

Brian Thorne is the Chief Development Officer of Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Centers. He also serves as President of the Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Centers Foundation.  Thorne has served in healthcare development leadership positions for over 15 years, putting him on the cutting edge of medicine with some of the LA’s leading health care providers.

Prior to joining Gateways, Thorne served as Vice President of Fund Development at Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles, as well as Foundation Executive Director for Providence Holy Cross and Providence St. Joseph hospitals.  Before transitioning to healthcare and education nonprofit leadership, he spent 22 years with the YMCA, holding positions in Los Angeles, Denver, and Cedar Rapids.

Thorne earned his BA from University of Northern Iowa.
