City Moves to Prevent Homelessness

The city of Glendale’s Community Development Department is making a new targeted investment in housing and intensive case management to reduce and prevent homelessness in Glendale.

The city, Glendale Housing Authority and Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Centers are partnering to launch a pilot project that offers access to a regional residential mental health treatment bed, access to an enhanced care management program, and provide emergency housing vouchers for unhoused individuals. The project will increase support for highneeds clients, reduce service duplication, and create more seamless connections to housing, behavioral health and other support.
